The problem with hiring a roofer

You are usually being asked to approve several thousand dollars of work on a surface you cannot see, on the word of someone who was on it for twenty minutes. Two contractors look at the same roof and come back with two different answers, and there is no obvious way to tell which one is right — or which one is simply selling the bigger job.

That is the problem Gregco is built around. We photograph what is on the roof and give you the pictures. You are not deciding between two opinions; you are looking at the same conditions we looked at.

Who you are actually hiring

Gregco Roofing & Construction is run by Hector Solis. He has spent 30 years in construction and trained at Layton, Jacobsen, Okland — three commercial builders whose names you can check. That background is why this company bids public work and commercial membrane roofs as comfortably as it does a house in Evanston.

He works in English and Spanish, and so does the company. If it is easier to explain a roof problem in Spanish, we do that.

How we work

Every project starts with an inspection rather than a price. We look at the roof and the surrounding exterior, photograph the conditions we can see, and put them in writing with a prioritized recommendation. That way you are deciding from documented conditions instead of a verbal opinion.

If what we find is repairable, we say so. If a replacement is the responsible path, we explain why the repair route does not hold. We document conditions and recommend work. We do not decide insurance coverage, and we do not promise a claim outcome. The insurer alone determines coverage and payment.

We are a service-area business: we come to your property, and we do not operate a public walk-in office. Our Wyoming work centers on Evanston and the surrounding corridor: Evanston, Kemmerer, Cokeville, Rock Springs, Green River, Mountain View, Lyman.
